Funding Bank Portal

The reference architecture for real-time HELOCs. One API.

EquityRail is infrastructure, not a competitor. Your institution keeps its brand, its underwriting standards, and its rate tables. The platform is designed to supply the machinery: live valuation feeds, automated credit monitoring, near-real-time funding settlement, and the borrower payment gateway.

OAuth 2.0 client credentials · TLS 1.3 · Proposed interface — not a hosted production or sandbox API.

System Architecture

Where the engine sits.

No marketing — just the shape of the system. Your brand faces the borrower; your core keeps the books; the claimed engine runs the machinery in between.

Illustrative API Contract

Origination through funding, in six endpoints.

The proposed production interface: you send borrower applications and funding commitments; the engine executes valuation, pricing, monitoring, settlement, and payments against the parameters you configure. These endpoints are demonstrated interactively on this site and are not currently available as a hosted production or sandbox API.

  • POST/v1/originateLoan
Submit a borrower application with your LTV ceiling, rate table, credit thresholds, and monitoring interval. Designed to return an approved credit-line record ready for institutional funding.
  • POST/v1/fundLoan
Commit funding in tokenized dollars. The architecture is designed for near-real-time settlement with a full audit trail.
  • GET/v1/loanStatus
Retrieve balance, current LTV, rate tier, latest credit score, and limit-adjustment history for any account in your portfolio.
  • POST/v1/adjustLTV
Trigger a limit recalculation against the latest valuation feed, or update your configured LTV ceiling portfolio-wide.
  • POST/v1/monitorCredit
Run or schedule soft credit pulls. Draw halts and resumptions are designed to execute automatically against your thresholds.
  • POST/v1/processPayment
Designed to receive borrower repayments through the payment gateway and route servicing income to your settlement account.

Proposed Integration Path

From first conversation to production, in four proposed stages.

STAGE 1

Institutional verification

Charter documentation, compliance review, and a partnership agreement shaped with your counsel.

STAGE 2

Sandbox build

The interactive demonstration is available for technical evaluation today; a full-fidelity sandbox is part of the proposed production build.

STAGE 3

Parameter configuration

Load your LTV ceilings, FICO-keyed rate tables, halt/resume thresholds, and monitoring intervals — all configurable by API, no code changes.

STAGE 4

Proposed production implementation

End-to-end build and certification of origination, funding, and servicing flows — scoped and scheduled with the licensing or integration partner.

The Funding Flow

How money is designed to move.

FLOW 01

You commit funding

Your institution funds approved lines in tokenized dollars through /v1/fundLoan — from your settlement account, under your treasury controls.

POST /v1/fundLoan → settled < 2s
FLOW 02

Borrowers draw and spend

Draws convert to spendable fiat at point of sale via Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Draw controls enforce your LTV and credit thresholds automatically.

draw → card network → merchant
FLOW 03

Payments return to you

Monthly repayments come in through the borrower payment gateway and route to your settlement account, with interest accruing at your configured rates.

POST /v1/processPayment → your account
Production Compliance Requirements

Designed for your examiners.

A production implementation would need to support institution-approved controls in each area below. The architecture reserves a place for every one — and final requirements would be established with the licensing or integration partner.

KYC / AML screening

Identity verification and transaction monitoring on every account, with case files exportable to your BSA team — implemented to your program.

HMDA reporting

Reportable fields designed to be captured at origination and delivered in regulator-ready LAR formats.

SOC 2 & encryption

A SOC 2 readiness path for the production build, with AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, and OAuth 2.0 access control in the design.

CFPB & TILA aligned

Consumer disclosures, rate-change notices, and servicing workflows designed to federal consumer-lending standards.
